The Sri Gnana Saraswathi Devasthanam in Basar, Telangana, has reported an impressive income of Rs 1.03 crore over a span of 89 days. The counting of offerings was conducted on November 25, 2024, at the temple premises.
According to the temple’s Executive Officer Vijayarama Rao, the income included Rs 1,00,30,657 in cash, along with 143 grams of mixed gold ornaments, 4.250 kilograms of silver ornaments, and 147 foreign currency notes offered by devotees from August 28 to November 25, 2024.
The counting was conducted under the supervision of the EO, along with Sharath Pathak, Chairman of the temple’s Governing Council, and M Raja Mouli, an inspector from the Endowments Department. SBI staff, home guards, and members from the Vagdevi Society and Shrisaila Bramarambika Seva Samithi of Kamareddy district also participated in the process.
This remarkable income highlights the temple’s continued importance as a spiritual and cultural hub, attracting large numbers of devotees and offering substantial contributions.
