Kapil Sharma’s Emotional Tribute to Dharmendra After the Actor’s Death

The entertainment industry continues to mourn the passing of legendary Bollywood icon Dharmendra, whose death has created an emotional wave across the country. Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma expressed his deep grief, calling the loss “as painful as losing a father again.”


Kapil Sharma Remembers His Special Bond With Dharmendra

During the trailer launch of his upcoming film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Kapil Sharma opened up about his close relationship with Dharam ji. He shared that Dharmendra’s kindness, trust, and support shaped his early career when no one else believed in him.

Kapil recalled:

“Everyone knows what Dharam ji meant to me. His passing feels like losing someone from my own family.”

He remembered that when he was just 22 and had lost his father, he longed for guidance. Years later, when he moved to Mumbai to start his comedy show, no channel or production house was willing to take a chance on him.


Dharmendra Supported Kapil Without Hesitation

Kapil shared a memorable moment of how their friendship began on a flight. When Kapil later approached him for his show, Dharmendra didn’t ask a single question.

According to Kapil:

“I told him about the show, and he simply told his team, ‘He is my son. Give him the dates.’”

Kapil said that Dharmendra’s warmth and generosity made him feel protected and loved, just like a father would.

Speaking about the veteran actor’s passing, Kapil became emotional:

“Losing Dharam ji feels like losing a father again. You always wish for more time with good people… He lived like a king, and there will never be anyone like him.”

Kapil had also posted a heartbreaking message on Instagram after Dharmendra’s death, thanking him for his love, blessings, and the special place he held in Kapil’s heart.


Bollywood Bids Farewell to Dharmendra

Dharmendra passed away on Monday morning at his home in Juhu, Mumbai, after a brief illness. He was 89, just weeks away from his 90th birthday on December 8, 2025.

His final rites were performed at Pawan Hans Crematorium, where top stars including:

  • Hema Malini

  • Amitabh Bachchan

  • Salman Khan

  • Aamir Khan

  • Sanjay Dutt
    and many others gathered to pay their respects under tight security.
